Hi, my name is Beverly!
I’m a therapist based in San Francisco with a deep passion for helping people heal from emotional wounds, especially the ones we’ve been carrying for a long time without realizing.
As a second-generation Chinese American, I grew up navigating the space between cultures. This meant balancing different values, expectations, and versions of myself depending on which “world” I was in. That experience shaped how I understand identity, belonging, and the subtle ways we learn to push parts of ourselves aside.
As your therapist, my goal is to help you reconnect with those parts with curiosity instead of judgment — so you can live a more fulfilling and authentic life.
“We don’t see things as they are. We see them as we are.”
— Anaïs Nin
How I got here.
My own experience with therapy taught me the importance of slowing down, tuning into my body, and making room for all the parts of myself I used to avoid. That process gave me the empathy and tools I bring into the room with every client I work with.
I earned my masters in marriage and family therapy from Touro University Worldwide. I’ve had the opportunity to work across community-based organizations supporting adults, teens, and couples of diverse backgrounds and identities, including those navigating trauma/PTSD, domestic violence, and major life transitions. These experiences deepened my passion for trauma and grief work and helping people reclaim who they are.
When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me:
cuddling my two cats, Stella and Pierre
journaling with my ever-growing collection of stickers and washi tapes
overanalyzing TV show and movie plots
making playlists for every possible mood
pulling tarot cards and doing readings
trying whatever movement sounds fun (walks, gym, yoga, aerial — i’ll try anything once)
growing my collection of trinkets, blind box figurines, and k-pop photocards
playing league with my friends or relaxing with a cozy game by myself
tending to my own well-being, whether it’s through therapy, rest, and intentional moments of joy
